Our Story

Grey & Ivy is a multi-disciplinary collective of innovators, architects, tech designers, researchers, teachers, and more. Through our Design+Build educational programs and research, we have developed a strategy to facilitate Spatial Agency in communities worldwide!

We believe that awareness of design, making, and crafting wields power to improve our quality of living, inspire awe, and provide comfort and healing. It empowers people to take ownership of their careers and futures. We democratize the skills and knowledge of designers, architects, construction and trades workers to unlock ways for more people to influence and have meaningful dialogue with the built environment around them.

An essential part of what we offer is our Design+Build curriculum and educational workshops, where we guide communities and participants of all ages through the Grey & Ivy process. Together we reveal the story, then develop a concept through sketching and modeling using analogue tools and immersive technologies, and finally progressing into a fully realized design that can potentially be realized in the future.

Our goal is and will always be to put power back into the hands of communities by providing the necessary skills and knowledge to spark innovation and empower self-determined solutions!!
