Our team was approached by Iskatewizaagegan #39 Independent First Nation (Shoal Lake #39) with the goal of amplifying the voices of the youth to contribute to future developments within the community. The program consisted of a 3 week workshop to educate participants on a holistic design process, enhancing the capacity and skill sets of the youth to contribute effectively to a community plan.

Grey & Ivy helped summarized the interests and goals of the students through design projects to share with Chief & Council, and broader community members. The design projects reflect personal stories and investigations of the students who attended the workshop.

My experience of this course was fun learning about things and felt amazing to talk about stuff and not feel judged.
